Marlborough, MA – June 6th, 2024 – The Metro South/West Workforce Board marks an exciting milestone with the launch of Youth Connections, a youth career education program dedicated to preparing the next generation for a bright and successful future. Designed to bridge the gap between education and employment, Youth Connections offers a full spectrum of services, mentorship, and hands-on experiences tailored to equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
Empowering Futures through Practical Education
Youth Connections is committed to empowering young people by providing them with the tools necessary for career success. The program offers career exploration, skill development, and real world experiential opportunities with Metro South/West businesses. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in internships, job shadowing, and workshops led by industry professionals, giving them a head start in their chosen career paths.
Comprehensive Support and Case Management
One of the standout features of Youth Connections is its comprehensive case management program for youth facing barriers to employment. Eligible participants will be paired with an experienced case manager who will guide them through their career journey, offering personalized advice, support, and encouragement. This one-on-one mentorship aims to build confidence and provide supportive services, helping youth make informed career choices.
Building Strong Community Partnerships
Youth Connections is proud to collaborate with local businesses, educators, and community organizations to create a supportive network for participants.
