A Giving Tuesday Story
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Jasmine was pregnant with her first child, facing eviction, and unsure how she would make it through the next week — let alone build a future. What she did know was that she wanted something better for her family. She dreamed of a stable career in healthcare, a path that could provide the security she never had.
When Jasmine walked through the doors of Youth Connections, she was scared, exhausted, and determined. She didn’t yet see the version of herself she could become — but we did.
Five years later, that dream has become her reality.
Today, Jasmine is a Clinical Manager at Sudbury Bear Mountain, earning $47 an hour. She is raising two beautiful children, pursuing her associate degree, and — our favorite part — teaching CNA classes so she can help others begin the very same journey she once started.
Her story is extraordinary, but it’s not uncommon. It’s what happens when young people are given the support, resources, and belief they deserve.
And none of it would have been possible without people like you.
